Wills - Zing Mortgages

So you’ve purchased the house of your dreams, you’ve spent 3 full days unpacking and another 5 deciding between ‘practical beige’ or ‘whispering peach’ for the downstairs bathroom. These are all part of the experience involved in buying a new home, however there is one last thing that we are here to help you with before you can breathe a sigh of relief.

Zing Mortgages are delighted to offer a will writing service, to ensure our customers have total peace of mind and will be safe in the knowledge that, should anything happen to you, your family will be fully protected.

Although it may seem like a daunting task, our aim is to make writing a Will as easy and as straightforward as possible.

One of our advisers will visit you in the comfort of your own home and take the time to understand your personal circumstances and wishes. You don’t need to be worried about confusing legal jargon here at Zing as we take the time to make sure that you understand the process from start to finish. For more info why not check out our easy to understand guide to intestacy.

Once we have been out to see you, your details are forwarded to our partner company who are members of the Institute of Professional Will Writers & the Society of Will Writers who shall draft your will, so you can rest assured that your will has been drafted in the correct & professional manner. Once your will has been fully checked & you are 100% satisfied with if fully reflecting your wishes then we will once again come out to visit you to have the will signed, in the presence of a witness who is not mentioned in the will.

Wills facts

  • Surveys show that people put off making a will, often until they’re in their 50s.

  • Three-quarters of the population have a will in place by the time they are 65, but that still leaves a sizeable number uncovered, not to mention those who die young.

  • Around 60,000 estates each year are ‘intestate’ (ie there’s no valid will in place) – almost 25% of the annual total. Making a will stops your heirs joining this number and makes sure your wishes are carried out when it comes to who inherits what.

  • 27.63 of people with children do not have a will

  • Only 32% of people aged 35-44 have a will

  • 1/3 of cancer research UK is funded by gifts in wills

  • 2.16 billion pounds is left in gifts each year from peoples wills.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
